Overview
Established in April 2001, CREDINS is the first private Albanian
non bank financial institution to offer a wide range of services
in the domestic market.
The
initiators and the main driving force of this venture are a group
of experienced Albanian bankers. It all started about three years
ago when after long discussions within a small group, the idea was
developed and those who would become the main shareholders were
contacted and convinced.
A characteristic
of this company is that the licensing from the Bank of Albania doesn’t
presume the status and operations of a traditional banking institution.
Instead, all the operations and activity are wholly financed through
the shareholders’ equity.
CREDINS
is a joint stock company whose main shareholders are some of the
successful private Albanian businessmen over the 10 years of the
development of the market economy in Albania. The initial paid-up
capital amounts to USD 5.59 million, which is fully paid.
